Week 9/Month 2 Reflection

What would happen if someone was entering a similar position as me right now and asked me for advice? What would I say and would it be worth hearing? I love my job and the people I work with, but I wonder how much easier this would have been in Millville where I knew a ton of people and was familiar with the system. I'm 2 months in and I don't feel like I've made an impact on any academic setting yet. I don't know if I have done something wrong or if I'm just not patient enough, but I'm not happy with my productivity. I've spent a ton of time learning about the place I work and the people I work with, but I feel like I'm not helping kids, and that's why I took this position. I'm going to a conference for 2 days this week and hope to learn something there...maybe next week will be better.
