Academic Bowl Reflections

I can't tell you how awesome it was to be invited to take part in the academic bowl with Millville and Vineland. I had heard about the competition before, but never been there. It was great to see both my current principal and former principal, Kathy Procopio and Christy Thompson, in the audiance as I read the questions. I was really disappointed in the attendance and plan to do my part next year to promote the event so people see the result of the hard work put in by the students and their coaches. Even though we lost, and we got some math questions wrong, it was still fun to be there. The kids worked together well and answered a lot of questions correctly and were close on many others, which is what you would expect from that group. I really appreciate Donna Cedarmark letting me be involved and would definitely like to continue to be a part in the future. Hopefully we can find some ways to get more people out next year.
