So here is today's prompt: "Write about one piece of technology that you would like to try this year, and why. You might also write about what you’re hoping to see out of this edtech integration."

In my work with a flipped AP Calculus class the past few years, I have produced videos and given them to my students on flash drives so internet was not a problem. While I have had a ton of success with this method, I feel like I can do better for my students. I would like to use Sophia.org this year to imbed quizzes and better monitor student progress while they are not in my class. I feel this will help save class time assessing where students are at coming into class instead of trying to get a feeling while they are doing work. I recently received an iPad from DonorsChoose.org to use in my class and I will use this as a station for my AP Calculus students that are struggling for support. There are a ton of great apps that offer practice, tutorials, and great visual representations of the various concepts, so that should help a lot with the students I know are struggling coming into class.

As for what I hope to see out of this, I hope to see chaos. At least that's what an outsider should think walking into my classroom in the middle of the block. There could be 10 different things going on in the class at once if I am able to separate the students according to their needs as they enter the classroom. With the knowledge of what the students know coming into class as well as the extra station for remediation or deeper learning, depending on the student, each learner can excel at their own pace.
